Pothos or Devil’s Ivy or the more official name of the Big leaf Money Plant is perhaps one of the most widely used indoor plants in Pakistan because it is directly associated with good luck and prosperity. This plant will make a bold addition to any building either indoors or outdoors; it represents money or wealth. 1. Light:
The Big Leaf Money Plant is flexible when it comes to the amount of light it is exposed to. It likes to be placed in an area that receives bright indirect sunlight but can also be placed in a low light area thus can be placed almost anywhere in the house or office.

2. Watering:
This plant does well when irrigated moderately. Train your plant to let the top inch of the soil dry before the next watering. Water should not accumulate in the pot, so it may be necessary to improve drainage, or not to water so often.

3. Soil:
Use suitable soil type and that is easy draining soil base mix as a standard potting mix. The plant is not very picky with regard to soil, though it does best in well-drained soil.

4. Temperature:
It is a warm weather plant and so should be kept in an area that is within the temperature range of 60°F to 80°F (16°C to 27°C). While it can live somewhat in the changes of temperature, it is advised to protect it from frost and extremely cold temperatures.

5. Fertilization:
Fertilize the Money Plant using a water soluble balanced fertilizer, preferably one that is N-P-K 10-10-10, for once a month during the growing seasons, that is spring and summer. Application of fertilizers is recommended not to be done during the cooler season of the year.

6. Pruning:
It has to be pruned in order to keep it under control and to let it grow sideways rather than up. Prune off any older and yellowish leaves to maintain the best appearance of the plant.

7. Air Purification:
Apart from the fact that it is an ornamental plant, the Big Leaf Money Plant is credited for its air-filtering nature. This may help purify the air from toxines, so you can have a healthy indoor environment.

8. Placement:
To encourage growth of trailing stems and consequently an overhead growth, one should put the Money Plant in a hanging container or at a shelf. This enables the loose large heart shaped leaves to provide the shade that is required and make a good display.`
