How to Use / Sow / Care / Apply

Choose a pot with drainage holes. Cactus and succulents should not sit in standing water.

Remove the plant gently from its old pot. Shake off loose, unhealthy or waterlogged soil from the roots. If roots are wet or damaged, let them dry slightly in shade before repotting.

Add a small layer of this potting mix at the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in position and fill around the roots with the mix. Press lightly, but do not compact it too hard.

After repotting, avoid heavy watering immediately, especially for cactus and succulents with disturbed roots. Water lightly after a short settling period, depending on the plant type and weather.

Keep the plant in bright light. For most succulents, bright indirect light or morning sun is safer after repotting. Move gradually to stronger sun if the plant can handle it.
