Chamaecereus lutea Yellow Peanut Cactus Grafted is a striking live cactus with bright yellow clustered stems growing above a green cactus rootstock. Its unusual colour and finger-like growth make it very different from ordinary green cactus plants.

The plant is also known botanically as Echinopsis chamaecereus ‘Lutea’. The yellow upper growth forms several short, crowded stems that give the plant its familiar Peanut Cactus appearance.

Because this is a live grafted cactus, the number of yellow stems, cluster width, rootstock height and exact plant shape can vary according to the nursery batch. New growth can gradually change the appearance of the yellow cluster.

Light

Yellow Peanut Cactus needs strong brightness but should be protected from sudden extreme sunlight.

Bright filtered light or gentle morning sunlight is suitable. A well-lit balcony, covered patio or bright window area can work well.
